Bring me DEATH!!

That pretty much sums up my weekend of pts testing, and the Battle Royale that occurred on Sunday. I found myself taking a dirt nap, and watching the spinning screen of death most of the time. (Why hasn’t that been fixed yet!?) For some reason, I couldn’t keep myself alive even when out of the mob of choppa’s spamming Get to da Choppa and Can’t stop da Choppa . I still found myself getting picked off by sorceress or squid herders. I think Mythic left the marked for death icon over my slayers head during the Battle Royale. Not to say it wasn’t fun. I was having a great time playing and testing all the new features in 1.2. It was nice seeing people actually defending BO’s and keeps while trying to reach full zone domination. I didn’t get much time to try out all the new crafting updates but, Thulf over at Stunty Stomper has dug up some nice info on the changes. If you haven’t seen his posts on them, I suggest checking them out.
I was able to get back on the pts early this morning one last time before it went down for maintenance. I saw in /region Chaos Wastes was hosting some 1v1 action for anyone wanting to test out different specs and abilities. So I hopped on my nifty Blue Gromril Contraption (which looks the same as the rest) and headed over to the dueling spot. Finding a partner was easy as /beckon, /point, or taunt, long as they gestured back it was on till death. Funny enough I found myself taking dirt naps again, but I’m blaming spec on those deaths. I must say, I have never been a big fan of dueling and understand that WAR is not built for 1v1 combat, but those couple hours of testing were probably my best experience during the whole testing process, PVE aside. I actually had a chance to test out the slayer tactics in various combination’s, abilities, and rotations. Of course it was skewed a bit being 1v1. (I’ll save that info for a later post I’m working on.)
All in all was great to be back on the pts again, testing out the new careers and features. I look forward to the Bitter Rivals event and finally having a slayer I can call my own. BRING ME GLORY!!
